Gaza City: Hamas officials expect a ceasefire between the two sides to be announced by Friday amid the ongoing murderous war between israelis and Palestinians. The top Hamas official's statement comes after US President Joe Biden called Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu to say the war should stop soon and both sides should retreat.

Mousa Abu Marjok, one of Hamas's top political officials, spoke to Lebanon's al-Mayadeen TV channel, saying talks between the two sides are underway. Both sides will reach a result in a day or two. Both sides want to stop fighting. He said talks have taken place on both sides amid pressure at the international level. Which may be announced by Friday. He expressed hope that both sides will soon stop their attacks.

When Israel's Ear Public Radio Service spoke to Israeli Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen in this case, he flatly refused a ceasefire. Cohen said that there is a lot of international pressure on us, but we will not stop. He said that the goals we have launched this campaign will be achieved only after achieving it.
