Senior officials indicated that US President Joe Biden's national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, will meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday in Ramallah to discuss the SPORTS in Gaza and making sure that the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas is never repeated.

According to one of the unnamed sources, Sullivan would talk about "ongoing efforts to revamp and revitalise" the Palestinian Authority as well as stopping "extremist settler violence" against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

On Thursday, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh stated that the Biden administration now needs to "walk the walk" and take concrete actions towards the illusive two-state solution,.

This came after the US publicly disagreed with its close friend over the post-war situation while defending Israel against mounting international calls for a rapid cease-fire.

 "There is no doubt; we will carry on until the very end. Despite the immense suffering and the pressure from all across the world, I say this. Nothing will stop us," Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, stated. 

The Health Ministry reports that over 18,400 Palestinians have lost their lives in the area under Hamas control. After Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7, killing around 1,200 people, largely civilians, and seizing about 240 hostages, Israel stated that 113 of its soldiers had perished in its ground offensive.

hite House national security adviser Jake Sullivan met with senior Israeli officials, including Defence Minister Yoav Gallant and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on Thursday to discuss "phasing" Israel's operations. 

\The humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the continuous threat of Houthi rebel attacks on vessels in the Red Sea, and the regional stance of Iranian proxy groups were also discussed.

According to an American intelligence analysis, almost half of the bombs dropped were "dumb bombs," or untargeted, rather than accurate explosives.

The disclosure of the US intelligence assessments may help put the staggering death toll in Gaza—which includes a higher percentage of civilians.
