JERUSALEM: The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said a senior Israeli military team led by Tal Kelman, the military official in charge of Iran affairs, finished up a series of meetings in Morocco this week.

The visit was announced to the public on Friday by Avichay Adraee, the IDF's Arab Spokesperson, via his Twitter account, according to reports. Kelman spoke with the Chief of Morocco's military, Belkhir El Farouk, and other top Moroccan commanders during his visit to Rabat, according to Adraee's tweet.

The two groups looked at "regional and international" issues along the Tigris River's bank. Desperate terrorists were increasingly resorting to suicide assaults and putting up a fight in the small alleyways of densely populated areas.

In June 2014, IS militants took control of a substantial portion of Nineveh after government forces abandoned their guns and fled, allowing IS militants to take control of swathes of Iraq's northern and western areas. After nearly nine months of brutal combat to drive the terrorists out of Iraq's final major bastion, Mosul, the country's second largest city, was formally declared freed from the IS in July 2017.
