New Delhi: For the first round of the matches of the Ranji Trophy league of the 2017-18 season the cricketer  Ravindra Jadeja and Cheteshwar Pujara have been roped in the Saurashtra team. Ravichandran Ashwin and Murali Vijay confirmed their availability to Tamil Nadu.

Ashwin and Jadeja were ruled out of the Indian Men cricket team for the ODI series against Australia and Sri Lanka. Ashwin and Jadeja's availability depends on their selection for the three-match T20I series against Australia which is scheduled to begin from October 7.

Sitanshu Kotak, the Saurashtra coach mentioned that Jadeja was scheduled to join the squad on September 30, while captain Pujara was likely to return to home by the end of the month after finishing his county commitments with Nottinghamshire.

Jadeja was last seen during the Test series against Sri Lanka while Vijay after undergoing a surgery for a wrist injury he sustained during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in March was taking rest for a long time.

Vijay was in the Tamil Nadu Premier League before he played for India Green in the Duleep Trophy taking five wickets and scoring just 17 runs. The player Ashwin played a major role in securing the Division Two title for Worcestershire.
