Jaipur: Open rebellion has started coming out in the BJP regarding the Mayor election. MLA of Jaipur district is upset with Soumya Gurjar being nominated as Mayor for Greater Municipal Corporation. Brother-in-law of BJP Senior MLA and former Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Narpat Singh Rajvi is against the leaders of the organization. Narpat Singh Ji said that organization is paramount but for the last few days decisions are being taken here at will and there is no discussion with anyone.
He said that without MLA opinion, outsiders were made candidates for mayor. It is worth mentioning that Soumya Gurjar is the wife of Rajaram Gurjar, former Chairman of Karauli, against whom more than 13 criminal cases have been filed. Additionally, Saumya Gurjar once took a selfie with the rape victim while being a member of the Women's Commission. For this, she was badly criticised. Subsequently, she resigned from her post.
There is an uproar in the BJP over the name of Rajaram Gurjar's wife Soumya Gurjar. In view of this, Gulabchand Kataria, senior BJP leader and Leader of the Opposition in the assembly replied that the decision of the organization is and everyone should agree. On the question raised by Narpat Singh Rajvi, Gulabchand Kataria said that he also used to fight from Chittorgarh. He was also brought to Jaipur and made an MLA when he had no problem.
