Udhampur: A number of cases have been reported from the country day in and day out. Udhampur Reasi range DIG Suleman Chaudhary said this on Tuesday. He said a police team has left after receiving the news of the accident.

At the same time, he said that due to high fog, it is not yet clear whether the helicopter crashed or met with an accident due to landing. Two persons were on board the helicopter at the time of the accident at Shiv Garh Dhar. Police say excessive fog in the area could be the cause of the accident.

Further, the official said that there was a sound of the helicopter crashing due to landing. Both the pilot and the co-pilot have been reported injured. Earlier, on August 3, an Indian Army helicopter crashed in Kathua in the Union Territory. Thereafter, a major search operation was launched by the authorities. The same Jammu and Kashmir police reported that locals had reported that a helicopter had crashed near Patnitop area of Udhampur. We have sent the team to the area.
