Jammu and Kashmir (Pulwama), August 22: A man allied with the ruling PM Modi led Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) was shot dead by militants around early on Wednesday morning in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. According to the reports, he was shot dead at his home in Pulwama district. The BJP associate, Shabir Ahmed Bhat, was shot at around 2:30 am in Rakh-e-litter village of Pulwama, as Times now reported. He was abducted by terrorists last night. His bullet-ridden body was recovered at night. The police have registered a case and search operations are in progress in the area.

According to media reports today the police has sent the BJP associates dead body to the post-mortem.
