Jammu and Kashmir reports no shortage of COVID-19 vaccine; inoculation drive begins for 18+

Jammu and Kashmir kick started the third phase of the COVID-19 vaccination drive for people between 18+ on Saturday. Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Ajaz Asad told media persons that a total of ten designated centres have been set up by the district administration for the inoculation of all adults.

These vaccination centres include Sub centre Natipora, UPHC Nishat, SMHS hospital, SKIMS Soura, G B Pant hospital, Boys Secondary School NIT, Miranda School Chinkral Mohalla, Community hall, health centre Miskeen Bagh and Government Higher Secondary School Batamaloo. Mr Asad declared that there is no shortage of vaccines. There are number of people getting vaccinated every day in Srinagar than other districts of the Union Territory. The authorities have well planned to increase the number of designated vaccination centres soon. Authorities also requested common people to get themselves registered on the Co-Win portal. Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir had announced a free of cost vaccine for all adults.

Till now, 179915 People have been badly affected by novel coronavirus. Whereas, 147242 out of 179915 have recovered. The death toll reaches to 2330 due to coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir.
