Jammu: Many attacks are carried out by terrorists in the state. On Tuesday, a day before the first anniversary of the removal of Article 370, terrorists carried out two attacks in southern Kashmir. A panch was shot and seriously injured, while three soldiers were injured in the grenade attack. After the incident, a search operation has been started in the entire area. Also, inputs have been received in advance of the attack by the terrorists till 5 August. After about a month, another panchayat representative is targeted in the valley.

Before this, Kashmiri Pandit Sarpanch Ajay Pandita was murdered in June. Panch Pir Arif Ahmad Shah was attacked by terrorists in Akhran area of Mirbazar of Kulgam city. Due to being hit by bullets, he fell down soaked with blood. He was immediately taken to the local hospital, from where he was referred to Srinagar when the situation turned serious. Earlier, the terrorists attacked with a grenade in Vanpora of Pulwama city by targeting the security forces. Two policemen were seriously injured in this. After both incidents, the terrorists escaped after getting the opportunity.

On the other hand, the two-day curfew imposed by the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Tuesday night for August 4 and 5 was lifted before the scheduled date. This curfew was imposed before the first anniversary of the decision to abolish the special status of Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370. Srinagar district magistrate ordered a curfew in Kashmir Valley after reports of separatist and Pakistan-sponsored groups planning to celebrate August 5 as Black Day. After the criticism, it was decided to lift the curfew. National Conference President and former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah has invited leaders of several mainstream political parties for an important meeting at his residence in Srinagar on 5 August.
