Srinagar: In the Kathua district of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, work has started to give a new look to a third-class student at their school following a request from PM Narendra Modi. A few days ago, the student requested through a video message that PM Modi ensure basic facilities in their school.

Last week, Seerat Naz posted this video message for PM Modi. After this, Jammu's Director of School Education, Ravi Shankar Sharma, inspected the government school in the remote Lohai-Malhar block. This video was also shared by many people on social media. In the beginning of his 4-minute video, Naaz said, "Assalam Alaikum Modiji." How are you? You listen to everyone; listen to me too.

Describing the dilapidated condition of the school, Naaz said that the students are forced to sit on the dirty floor, which often results in their school uniforms getting dirty. He also mentioned the condition of the toilets, the problem of open defecation, and the incomplete construction work at the school. This girl, in her emotional appeal to PM Modi, said, "You listen to the whole country; please listen to me too and build a nice school for us so that we can continue our education and we don't have to worry about our school dress getting dirty. Let's not have to get scolded by our mothers."
