Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested two hybrid terrorists. Both these terrorists were involved in plotting the IED blast in Bandipora. A major accident was averted on the Sopore-Bandipora highway after the Army and police recovered the IED in time. Explain that 16 kg of IED was hidden in two gas cylinders. It was placed on the highway to target vehicles frequently used by IED security forces.

Kashmir ADGP Vijay Kumar has said ''Police have solved the recent IED blast case in Kenusa Bandipora. Two hybrid terrorists have been arrested, identified as Irshad Ganie and Shahid alias Wasim Raja. Two remote control IEDs with detonators have been recovered from them. A case has been registered in this regard and an investigation is underway.''

Earlier on Saturday (November 5), Sopore police had arrested two terrorists, who were associated with the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. A huge quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered from them, including 1 pistol, 1 pistol magazine, a pistol round and a grenade. The Jammu and Kashmir Police had said that the action was taken in collaboration with the Baramulla police. An FIR has been registered in this regard and an investigation is underway.
