The day of Thursday was very historic in the history of these 70 years of independence where Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, known as the paradise of the country, have become central centres.

- There was a Governor in Jammu and Kashmir, but now both lie in the Union Territories

- The same 106 central laws came into force in both the states. Aadhaar, RTI, RTE laws were implemented.-

- 153 laws were abolished in Jammu and Kashmir, which were made at the state level.

-166 Old state law and Governor's law will remain in common High Court.

- Ladakh's rule will be directly run by the Union Home Ministry through the Lieutenant Governor.

-In Jammu and Kashmir, the tenure of the Legislative Assembly will be 5 years instead of 6 years as compared to the rest of the country.

-In the Legislative Assembly, along with Scheduled Castes, now seats will also be reserved for Scheduled Tribes.

-Previously, 24 ministers could be appointed in the cabinet, now like other states, more than 10% of the total members can not be made ministers.
