Srinagar: The body of an Army officer has been recovered in mysterious condition in Rajouri in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The police have started investigating the matter. It is being told that the body of this rank officer of the Major rank has been found in the National Rifles Camp at Rajouri. Army and police officers are present on the occasion.

According to information given in media reports, the army officer found dead has been identified as Major Vineet Gulia, he belongs to Haryana. Senior Superintendent of Police of Rajouri Chandan Kohli said that an army officer was shot in the head. The investigation has been started by registering a case under section 174 of CRPC.

It is being told that Major Vineet Gulia was the company commander of 38 RR, who was posted in Dera's lane. At present, no official statement has been issued by the army. It is being told that at present, investigation has been started to find out the cause of his death.
