Srinagar: The Indian Army has carried out a major operation against terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir. On Tuesday too, the security forces had an encounter with the terrorists. This encounter took place in Pulwama, Jammu, and Kashmir. In this encounter, the security forces have killed two terrorists. This incident of encounter is of Hakaripura under Pulwama district.

According to the information, a joint team of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Army Rashtriya Rifles, Jammu Kashmir Police, went out to patrol. The joint patrol of the forces had reached Hakaripura only to have an encounter with the terrorists. In this encounter, the security forces killed two terrorists. The dead terrorists have not been identified. It is noteworthy that this encounter in Pulwama is the second incident of encounter in Jammu and Kashmir within a day.

Before Pulwama, there was an encounter with terrorists in the Melhora area of the Shopian district. The encounter started on the evening of 19 October and continued till 20 October. Two terrorists were also killed in Shopian. The security forces started a search operation against the terrorists on secret information. Security forces received an AK-47 and a pistol from the slain militants. Security forces surrounded the entire area and began a search operation.
