Government departments will no longer be able to spend extravagantly amid conditions arising from Coronavirus amidst nationwide lockdown. The departments have been tied up in terms of spending. According to the order, the department will still be able to spend only twenty percent of the budget in the first quarter of the ongoing financial year.

For your information, let us tell you that in the circumstances arising out of the lockdown and economic activity stopped, the instructions of the Finance Department, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, have been issued to curb the wasteful expenditure of government departments. According to the order, special allowances will not be available with salary as per the rules fixed for the expenses. Only Children's Allowance will be available with normal salary.

Leave travel concession, leave investment will also not be received without the prior permission of the Finance Department. Transport allowance will not be received. In the order of the Department, it has been said that transport allowance will not be given to the departments during the lockdown period.
