Srinagar: The brother of Kashmiri Pandit Bal Krishna Bhatt alias Sonu, who was shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, has expressed his anguish. Sonu's brother Anil Kumar Bhatt said on Wednesday that terrorists entered his brother's shop and attacked him. He said "We have ruined our lives by staying in the Kashmir Valley. Anil Kumar Bhatt said that we should have fled Kashmir in 1990 itself. By staying in Kashmir, we made a big mistake. No one wants Hindus to live in Kashmir. People just want to grab our property. Anil said that people have not even left our cremation ground. There are also homemade on it.

In Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district, terrorists opened fire on Kashmiri Pandit Bal Krishna Bhatt alias Sonu on Monday evening. They had three bullets. Sonu was admitted to the Army Hospital in Srinagar in critical condition. Bal Krishna Bhatt, a medical store operator by profession, did not leave the Valley even during the exodus of Pandits from Kashmir. He had been living in Kashmir for the past 30 years. The previous day, terrorists shot seven people in the valley. In these incidents, 4 non-local labourers in Pulwama, 2 CRPF jawans in Srinagar and one Kashmiri Pandit in Shopian were targeted.

On the incident of attack on Kashmiri Pandits, former Jammu and Kashmir DGP Sp Vaidya said it is a hardcore Islamic agenda to facilitate a complete exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley. A conspiracy is also being hatched to drive away the remaining Kashmiri Pandits from here. A day earlier, non-local labourers were also fired upon under the same agenda in the Valley. He said that even after the abrogation of Article 370 if pandits could not be settled in the valley, it would prove to be a big failure.
