Following his comment, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) threatened the Colors channel to shut down the show. Now Bollywood singer Kumar Sanu has apologized in behalf of his son. In his apology, Kumar Sanu said such a thing which looks very strange.

Kumar Sanu has submitted his apology through a video. In this video shared on Facebook, Kumar Sanu avoided the son's controversy by saying that he is away from his son for 27 years. He also raised questions on former wife Rita Bhattacharya regarding raising son Jaan. Kumar Sanu says in the video, 'Namaskar Uddhav Ji, I am Kumar Sanu, I liked that BMC took care of me during Corona. I want to express my gratitude for all this. I escaped from COVID-19 because of BMC. ''

Kumar Sanu in the past apologized for his son's saying, "I heard that my son, Jaan, said something very wrong that never crossed my mind or could have crossed my mind in these 41 years. Maharashtra, Mumbai and Mumba devi blessed me and gave me name, fame and everything else. I can never think such things about that same Mumba devi and Maharashtra. I love and respect all languages of India. I have sung songs in different languages"
