Janmashtami is one of the most popular festivals of Hindus. This year it is being celebrated on 23rd August. All people fast all day long and after the birth of midnight Srikrishna, they break their fast by performing pujas. A variety of sweet dishes are prepared on this day. Ingredients for making coconut and sesame pudding
Dried coconut - 100 grams (grated)
White sesame - 100 grams
Jaggery - 40 grams
Raisins - 10
Cashewnuts - 8-10
Cardamom Powder- 4-5 grains
Lost - 200 grams
Full cream milk - one to one and a half liters
Make Coconut and Sesame Kheer
Heat the pan. Add sesame seeds and fry for a dry fry. Now cool it slightly and grind coarsely. Boil milk in a large pot. Boil the milk slightly until it thickens. When thickened, the flavor of the kheer will double. Continue to run milk with a spoon.
Now add jaggery to the milk and mix well. You can also use sugar instead of jaggery. Add roasted sesame seeds and coconut (grated). Keep running well so that the sesame and coconut do not stick under the pot.
Now put in a little bit of milk from all the nuts. Cook for a while. Now add cardamom powder to the milk. Finally, stir for a minute with low flame. When thickened well, turn off the flame.
