Winning it through his words, and refreshing candid statements, Akhtar Sahab didn’t allow the trolls to get in amid his jubilation of India’s victory over Pakistan yesterday.
Javed Akhtar slammed trolls with gusto, the two statements made on his appreciation post celebrating Virat Kohli’s performance in the last Champions Trophy match between India and Pakistan on Sunday. He wrote, “Virat Kohli zindabad!!! We all are so so proud of you!!!” The statement was somehow caught by some netizens in their own way, trying to get around things.
Commenting down to the post, one user wrote, “Javed. Babar ka baap Kohli hai. Bolo Jai Shree Ram.” This was meant to hit out on Javed Akhtar’s religion. Responding to the comment, Javed Akhtar wrote, “Mai toh sirf ye kahunga ki tum ek neech insan ho aur neech hi maroge. Tum kya jaano desh prem kya hota hai (I want to say that you are a petty person and you will die petty too. What do you know about patriotism?)”.
Another one left with the comment, “Aaj suraj kaha se nikla. Andar se dukh hoga aapko toh (Where from did the sun rise today? You must be feeling sad)”. Javed responded him with, “Beta jab tumhare baap dada angrez ke jootey chaat rahe the tab mere azadi ke liye jail aur kaala pani mein the. Meri ragon mein desh premiyo ka khoon hai aur tumhari rago mein angrez ke naukron ka khoon hai. Iss antar ko bhoolo nahin (Son, when your father and grandfather were licking the boots of the British, mine were in jail and Kaalapani. I have the bloods of patriots in my veins, whereas yours has the blood of servants of the British. Know the difference)”.
