New Delhi: Sujit Swamy, a social worker from Rajasthan Kota, had filed an RTI regarding foreign students studying in JNU. In this RTI, it has been revealed that the national management of 82 students studying in JNU is not even aware of university management. Sujit has made a big disclosure, in which the citizenship of foreign students studying in the university has been questioned.

Sometimes NRC or CAA, sometimes article 370, sometimes JNU, which has become a political arena on the decisions of the policies of the Modi government, does not have complete data of its own students. Social activist Sujit Swamy had filed this RTI regarding JNU in the month of December, the reply of which has been sent to Sujit by the university management on 14 January. He has told that 301 foreign students are studying in JNU, out of which the students of North Korea are the most involved. These students are from 48 different countries and are enrolled in 78 courses.

There are 8805 students studying in JNU, out of which only 14% are in UG courses, which is 1264. M.Phil or Ph.D. courses are the highest, having 4251 students. 2, 877 students are studying in post-graduation courses. There are 282 student part time and 131 MTech and MPH courses. However, no data of the citizenship of 82 of these students is available with the university.
