Islamabad: Former Pakistan cricket team cricketer Javed Miandad said that the ICC should stop other teams from visiting India, as India is an unsafe country. Miandad backed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Ehsan Money's statement that Ahsan said teams from other countries should avoid visiting India amid protests over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

PakPassion.com quoted Miandad as saying, 'India is not an unsafe country but Pakistan. Tourists are unsafe here. As human beings, we should stand against it and oppose it. The whole world is watching what is happening in India. I am speaking on behalf of Pakistan and I believe that all kinds of sports relations with India should be ended. All countries should take tough measures against India. Earlier, Mani had said that there is a security risk in India even though it has been proved that Pakistan is completely safe.

Simultaneously, Javed Miandad said on the discriminatory statement of Danish Kaneria that "Danish Kaneria would not have played for the country if Pakistan had a partisan attitude with the minority Hindu community". Miandad made the remarks after Shoaib Akhtar's statement that some Pakistani players did not dine with Danish Kaneria because he is a Hindu.
