The coronavirus scare continues to spread across India with Maharashtra being the most affected state with more than 4,600 confirmed cases. The country’s capital, New Delhi has almost 2,100 confirmed cases followed by Gujarat having more than 2,000 positive cases with almost 1,300 confirmed cases from Ahmedabad only. Looking at the rise of the confirmed cases, States minister in Gujarat Jaydrathsinh Ji Parmar and his son Mayurdhwajsinh J Parmar started an initiative drive in Halol taluka in Panchmahal District. The father-son duo distributed face masks, sanitizers and pesticide powder in 70 villages of Halol taluka, 22 villages of Jambughoda taluka and 40 villages of Ghogamba taluka. 

Earlier Jaydrathsinh Ji Parmar made a donation of Rs 1 lakh to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund led by Shri Vijay Rupani Ji. His son Mayurdhwajsinh made a donation of Rs 11,000 from his savings in the PM-CARES Fund and CM Relief Fund each. During the distribution drive at Halol, Jaydrathsinh Ji made people aware of maintaining physical distance from each other to avoid COVID-19. He also stated that if anyone in the village feels like the symptoms of coronavirus, they should immediately call 104 helpline number and inform at the District Health Centre. Mayurdhwajsinh aka The Yuvraj of the Kanjari state believes that we can break the chain by staying at home and eradicating the deadly disease.

Belonging from a royal family, Mayurdhwajsinh Parmar is a social activist who has done many charities earlier. Taking inspiration from his father, he wants to serve people of the Kanjari state and provide them with all the facilities in this crisis. “We need to overcome and defeat COVID-19. Stay physically distant and emotionally connected with your loved ones. Also, maintain proper hygiene around your surroundings to battle against this virus”, he added. Mayurdhwajsinh J Parmar who is a part of the BJP Yuva Morcha has many other distribution drives for the underprivileged people in his locality.
