Patna: A resolution to remove Section 370 in force in Jammu and Kashmir has been moved in the Rajya Sabha. On the other hand, Article 35A has been removed from Jammu and Kashmir. The proposal to abolish Section 370 has been moved by Amit Shah in the Upper House. It has also got its approval from President Ram Nath Kovind. But there is a different reaction from the political parties.

While some NDA allies are opposing the BJP's decision, several opposition parties have stood in support of the NDA. It is the JDU, the BJP's closest party, which has fiercely opposed it. The JDU has termed it as a black day for the country. At the same time, it is like killing democracy. Bihar's Nitish government minister and JDU leader Shyam Razak has openly protested against the Jammu and Kashmir Bill.

"We strongly oppose the proposal to remove Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. He said it is the darkest day for the country. Shyam Razak has termed the BJP's proposal as a murder of democracy. He said the JDU has not supported the BJP in any of the controversial cases. So even his party's decision on this is irrevocable. However, he said that party leaders and MPs will take a decision on voting.
