Ranchi: A 20-year-old girl was chased into the darkness of human trafficking by her maternal sister and brother-in-law who were shown the golden dreams of a luxurious life in a big city. Sunita (fictitious name), a resident of Sonahatu in Jharkhand, was brought to Delhi by her Simdega resident cousin Reena Kerkatta and brother-in-law four years ago. In these four years, it was sold in three big cities. Preparations for the new deal were going on when Amit Mahto, the former MLA of Silli, reached Bengaluru and rescued the girl, and handed her over to her parents.

Actually, Sonahatu's girl was brought to Delhi four years ago on the pretext of a job of 25 thousand. Sister and brother-in-law talked about getting a job in Noida and left in a house and left from there. The owner of the house told that she has been sold for a year and now she has to work as a maid. For a year she continued to do household chores, then a year later, suddenly Didi and her brother-in-law arrived and took her with them on the pretext of getting a job in Ghaziabad. The same was done to him there as well. After this, it was sold in Faridabad. After Faridabad, the girl's deal was done in Bangalore. Where she was living for the last 6 months. In Bangalore, somehow she got in touch with Anil Mahto, former MLA of Silli. After knowing the whole thing Amit Mahto came to Bangalore and rescued the girl and took her to Ranchi and handed her over to her parents.

The victim's mother had suspected that the daughter was in some trouble. The young woman was kept under tight guard and was rarely allowed to talk to the family. Once the girl secretly told her whole story to her mother and informed her about the sale. Upset, the mother sought help from Amit Mahto, the former MLA of Silli. After getting the information, the former MLA reached Bangalore and rescued the girl, and brought her to Ranchi.
