After a month on Tuesday, finally that auspicious moment has come, when Chief Minister Hemant Sareen is expanding the Jharkhand cabinet. At four in the evening, Governor Draupadi Murmu will administer oath to seven ministers at the Birsa Pavilion of Raj Bhavan. According to the list submitted to Raj Bhavan, Champai Soren, Joba Manjhi, Haji Hussain Ansari, Jagarnath Mahato and Mithilesh Thakur are being made ministers from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. Whereas from the Congress, Banna Gupta and Badal Patralekh are being included in the Hemant cabinet as ministers. Earlier on December 29, 2019, Alamgir Alam from Congress quota along with Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Satyanand Bhokta from Rameshwar Oraon and RJD quota were sworn in as ministers. However, these ministers are still waiting for their departments.

According to the media report, at present the parties involved in the grand alliance have a challenge to successfully conduct the government as well as increase mutual understanding and balance between the parties. The head of the government, Hemant Soren, has so far shown a lot of understanding in coordinating with the Congress. Two Congress ministers have taken oath along with the Chief Minister. JMM has five and Congress quota has two more ministers. If some new faces get a place in the cabinet, then some old faces will be ignored. Whatever be the form of the cabinet, it is for the parties involved in the government to understand that the message of long-term negotiation over the posts does not go well with the public. At the same time, in the windy period of change, the new government has to take many big decisions fast and to carry forward the car of development, living up to the expectations of the people.

Let us tell you that now that the exercise of the Cabinet is being completed, the parties involved in the new government will have to come on a platform and prepare a strategy for the all-round development of the state. In such a situation, the cabinet is going to take full shape after about a month of formation of new government in Jharkhand. It is believed that the vehicle of development will move forward at a more rapid pace. However, despite the expansion of the cabinet till now, the Chief Minister has proved successful in maintaining public confidence by continuously resolving the grievances of the people from his level.
