New Delhi: Dr Ajoy Kumar, former president of Jharkhand Congress unit has joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today. Ajoy Kumar resigned as Congress state president after an embarrassing performance in the Lok Sabha elections. Ajoy Kumar has joined Aam Aadmi Party membership in the presence of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

In his resignation, Ajoy Kumar had accused senior leaders of the Jharkhand Congress in his resignation that he kept personal interest above party interest, in his resignation he had senior Congress leaders Subodh Kant Sahay, Rameshwar Oran, Pradeep Balmuchu, Chandrasekhar Dubey, Furkan. During the Lok Sabha elections, Ansari and other leaders were accused of putting personal interest ahead of party interest.

Along with this, Dr. Ajoy Kumar also blamed all these leaders for the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections in the state. He accused that the leaders of his party had sent goons to attack him. After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress was divided into two groups. One was led by Ajay Kumar and the other was headed by former minister Subodh Kant Sahai and other leaders. Last month, when Ajay Kumar was going to attend a party meeting at the state office of the Congress in Ranchi, he was entangled with Sahai's supporters.
