In his statement, he said that after so many years a new process has been adopted and through this process it seems that we will again go to the old system from which we came out. He said that people still living here have not got the right to work in mining. The problem of displacement is complicated. The state government has already requested the central government not to make haste in the matter, but no such assurance was received from the central government which would indicate that transparency is being taken.

Chief Minister said, “Before the auction of coal mines, there should have been a statewide socio-economic survey to know whether the people here benefited from the coal mining and if not, why not? This was a big topic but the central government has shown haste. Today the whole world is affected by the lockdown. The Indian government is also talking about foreign investment in the auction of coal mines, while the traffic from abroad is completely closed. Jharkhand has its own local problems. Today the industries here are closed. In such a situation, the auction process of coal mines does not seem to benefit the state.
