Hazaribagh: Police has recovered a pangolin worth Rs 50 lakh near the post office chowk of Sadar police station area of Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. Along with the pangolin, the police have also arrested 3 smugglers. At the same time, a smuggler succeeded in escaping. The police have caught the three accused and handed them over to the forest department. Police have also seized a vehicle and mobile from the possession of smugglers.

The price of the pangolin is said to be crores of rupees in the international market. It is used in making power-boosting medicines, treatment of cancer and AIDS, bulletproof materials. In countries such as China and Vietnam, it is placed in the category of rice mines. Those arrested have said that Koderma's Prabhat and Bahragodha's Kallu are also coming to know about their involvement in the case. After the arrest, the accused also told that it was to be sold for 50 lakh rupees. In which the commission of those people is also connected.
