The JNU Students Union had announced a march from JNU to Rashtrapati Bhavan to protest against the increase in hostel fees. The march was to be evacuated from JNU this morning and reach Rashtrapati Bhavan. But the police had earlier surrounded the entire JNU campus. Even after this, the students took out a march.

The students' march is also supported by the JNU Teachers Association.
