Mumbai: Police on Wednesday (April 13) arrested a journalist in connection with a protest by state transport employees at the residence of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) national president Sharad Pawar, the main partner of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government (MVA government) in Maharashtra.

Last week, employees of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) staged a protest near Pawar's residence 'Silver Oak'. During this time, some protesters also threw stones and slippers at Sharad Pawar's house. After the incident, the police arrested several employees. According to media reports, a total of 115 people have been arrested so far in this case. At the same time, 109 people have also been sent to judicial custody.

The Maharashtra Police has now arrested YouTube journalist Chandrakant Suryavanshi in this case. The journalist runs a YouTube channel called 'MJT Marathi'. The Mumbai Police arrested him from Pune. The journalist is being shifted to Mumbai for questioning. According to the public prosecutor, Chandrakant Suryavanshi was part of the conspiracy.
