The CJI told the lawyers that, 'I want to share with you one thing that happened in the last four days. The cases we are listing are much larger than those before I took office. My General Secretary has placed the figures before me. The total number of cases disposed of by the court in the last four days was 1293. According to media reports, out of 1293 cases, 493 were disposed of on August 29.' Let us tell you that this was the first day of the UU Lalit as CJI of the Supreme Court. After this 315 verdicts were pronounced on Friday (September 2). At the same time, on Tuesday and Thursday, the top court disposed of 197 and 228 cases respectively.
