Following his participation at Paris Fashion Week, the White Lives Matter debate erupted, and Kanye West went on a posting binge on Instagram, calling out everyone who spoke out against him. Hailey Bieber did not address West in his statement, but West criticised her for standing up for Gabriella Karefa-Johnson.

Hailey also expressed her support for Karefa-Johnson on Instagram after West attacked Gigi Hadid for standing with the fashion editor after she criticised the rapper on his White Lives Matter t-shirt. Soon after, Kanye published a post critical of Hailey, who also happens to be Justin Bieber's wife. Kanye questioned Justin in a now-deleted Instagram post, "Wait Am I canceled again??? Justin [Bieber] please let me know." He later also called Hailey "nose job Hailey Baldloose" in another post.

Kanye uploaded a screenshot of an old article from 2016 that highlighted romance rumors involving Hailey and Drake in addition to accusing Hailey of having plastic surgery. In the description of the now-deleted post, Kanye addressed Justin and stated, "Get your girl before I get mad. You spose [sic] to be my friend right."

Since a very long time, people have known that Justin and Kanye get along well. Justin has also frequently played at the rapper's Sunday Service. Kanye's remarks on Hailey have not yet received a direct response from Bieber. Following his contentious tweet on Sean "Diddy" Combs, West's Instagram account has since been limited for breaking the platform's rules. The rapper later went back to Twitter and uploaded a tweet there criticising Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta.
