Chhindwara:  Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and veteran Congress leader, Kamal Nath, addressed concerns regarding Congress's ideology amidst speculations about his potential discussions with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Nath emphasized the core values of the Congress, stating, "The ideology of Congress revolves around truth, religion, and justice. It embraces and respects all religions, castes, regions, languages, and ideas within the country." He highlighted the party's extensive history of struggle and service, particularly during the freedom movement, where Congress leaders competed to serve the nation against dictatorship. Nath reiterated the Congress Party's commitment to nation-building post-independence.

Amidst ongoing attempts to weaken the opposition and attacks on democracy, Nath affirmed that the Congress Party and its ideology would stand firm against dictatorship, striving to make India the epitome of democracy. He expressed determination to build a golden India by following the principles of Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, and Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.

Responding to reports of his potential alliance with the BJP, Nath clarified that his previous remarks regarding Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam were misconstrued, emphasizing that individuals are not bound to any specific party. Reports had surfaced suggesting collaboration between Nath and his son with the BJP. Despite Nath's removal as PCC president following the party's defeat in the recent assembly polls, he affirmed his son Nakul's candidacy as the Congress nominee from Chhindwara constituency in Madhya Pradesh.
