Bhopal: Advocate Deepak Bundel has demanded registration of a case against Hamidia Management (Hamidiya Hospital fire) and Rajdhani Project Administration in connection with the death of newborns at Kamala Nehru Hospital in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In fact, he has e-mailed the application to the SP last Wednesday. Deepak is said to have said that so many innocents have lost their lives due to the negligence of the authorities.

Let me tell you that the death toll in this accident has now reached 13. On the other hand, the Madhya Pradesh government (Shivraj government) has so far officially reported the death of only 4 children in the accident. At the same time, on the third day of the incident, the government has removed three senior officers and suspended an engineer for negligence. After this action, the HOD of the Surgery Department, Dr Arvind Rai has been appointed as the new Dean of GMC and apart from this, the responsibility of the new superintendent of Hamidia Hospital has been handed over to Dr Deepak Maravi.

Let me tell all of you that in the preliminary report submitted to the state government last Wednesday about the fire accident, it was written, "This fire was caused by a spark while installing a plug to turn on the ventilator.'' Amidst all this, the Kamala Nehru Hospital administration said, "Only four infants died in the accident on the night of November 8. The report has been sent to the state government by Bhopal District Collector Avinash Lavanya.''
