Actress Kangan Ranaut has demanded compensation of Rs 2 crore for the alleged illegal demolition of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut's office. Making this demand, she filed a petition in the Bombay High Court on which the BMC has filed an affidavit. In its affidavit, BMC said on Friday, that this petition is an abuse of legal process.

In the affidavit filed by BMC, the court has been requested to dismiss the petition of Kangana Ranaut and impose a fine on her for filing such a petition. In this affidavit, it is stated that the writ petition and the relief sought therein abuses the legal process. Further, the affidavit states, "The petition should not be considered and it should be dismissed with a fine".

On 9 September in Mumbai, the BMC accused Kangana Ranaut's office of illegal construction and then vandalized it. Kangana Ranaut knocked the doors of High Court, after which the court stayed the action of BMC on the same day. Later on 15 September, Kangana in her amended petition demanded Rs 2 crore as compensation for the BMC action. Now the next hearing in this case, is to be held on 22 September.
