Bhopal: A male tiger kept in the Ghorela enclosure of Kanha Tiger Reserve Mandla has been brought to Van Vihar National Park in Bhopal on Saturday. An official of Van Vihar National Park said on Sunday that the tiger has been named Saran. With the arrival of this tiger, the number of tigers in Van Vihar National Park has increased and now there are 14 tigers. Right now this tiger has been kept separate. The official quoted the Chief Wildlife Custodian of Maharashtra as saying that this tiger had killed two people in Amravati district in October-2018.

He further said that this tiger had wandered to Betul in December 2018. This male tiger was rescued from the residential area of Sarani town in Betul district on 11 December 2018 and was also given an opportunity to live in a natural habitat, except in the Satpura Tiger Reserve, but this tiger lives in the residential area and Due to the tendency to return, it had reached the residential area again.

In this regard, the officer further told that after this, the tiger was resuscitated from the residential area of Sarani town of Betul district on 10 February 2019 and kept in the Ghorella enclosure of Kanha Tiger Reserve. He further informed that this tiger has been brought to Van Vihar National Park in Bhopal by the Assistant Director and Wildlife Doctor team of Kanha Tiger Reserve.
