New Delhi: Team India's legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun Tendulkar did not get any chance to play in the Indian Premier League-2022 (IPL). Mumbai Indians (MI) had included Arjun Tendulkar in their squad for Rs 30 lakh, hoping that he would get a chance to make his debut this season, but that could not happen. Now, team India's World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev has made a statement about the 22-year-old Arjun.

Kapil Dev says that Arjun will be under a little more pressure all the time due to his surname, but he will have to play his own game. The former captain said at an event that why is everyone discussing about him? Because he is the son of Sachin Tendulkar. But let him play his cricket and don't compare him with Sachin Tendulkar. Kapil Dev said that having the Tendulkar surname is going to give both advantages and disadvantages to Arjun. Don Bradman's son had also changed his name because he could not withstand the pressure. Kapil said don't put too much pressure on Arjun, he is very young.

Kapil Dev said, "I would only like to advise Arjun to enjoy his game. He doesn't need to prove anything to anyone, if you can become even 50 percent of his father's, there's nothing better than that. Because Tendulkar is associated with his name, there is a lot of expectations from Arjun. Mumbai Indians gave chances to many young players this season. In such a situation, there was hope that this time Arjun Tendulkar will also get a chance to make his debut, but it did not happen. Arjun Tendulkar has been with Mumbai Indians for the last two seasons and is looking forward to his debut.
