Ghaziabad: Amid protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Kapil Gurjar, a man who shot in the Shaheen Bagh area, has again hit the headlines. Kapil Gurjar has taken membership of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Ghaziabad, UP on Wednesday. He has joined BJP in the presence of local BJP leaders in Ghaziabad.

After joining BJP, Kapil Gurjar said that BJP is working to strengthen Hindutva, it is with the party. In the beginning of this year, there was a sit-in protest against CAA in Shaheen Bagh area of Delhi. Going to the same area, Kapil Gurjar opened fire, after which the police arrested him. However, Kapil Gurjar was later granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 25,000. When he reached his area after being released from jail, he was also given a grand welcome.

When the matter of firing by Kapil Gurjar came to light, it was also said that he and his family's relationship with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was also said. Some pictures were also shared with AAP leaders, but now after several months of agitation, Kapil has officially subscribed to BJP.
