New Delhi: In order to curb the rising air pollution in the national capital Delhi, the Arvind Kejriwal government has completely banned the firecrackers on the festival of Diwali from 7 November to 30 November. Politics has started on this decision of Delhi government. BJP leader Kapil Mishra has questioned Arvind Kejriwal about what steps he has taken to reduce pollution. Kapil Mishra asked Arvind Kejriwal the question 'Is it appropriate to ban firecrackers on Diwali every year?
Kapil Mishra said that firecrackers are not burning in the capital today, so why is the pollution level so bad today? On Karva Chauth, we had to spend every hour to see the moon and pollution was at its peak, but firecrackers were not working then? He said, 'This is the spectacle of every year that on Diwali, firecrackers are banned and there is no ban for the whole year. And there is no report of any different pollution from firecrackers. Fireworks are burnt in all countries like America, Australia, Japan, so don't those countries know how to deal with pollution?
Kapil Mishra has said that, 'I think the government has to ban the festivals of Hinduism. Can the government ever give an order on how Eid will be celebrated and how Christmas will be celebrated, but the government enjoys it in ordering how Diwali will be celebrated. '
