New Delhi:The pain of Kapil Sibal, a former veteran Congress leader and lawyer by profession, has spilled over into the encounter of Asad, the son of former Samajwadi Party (SP) MP and mafia boss Atiq Ahmed. Sibal has said that how can a 19-year-old boy (Assad) be a threat to the security of the country? Not only this, but Kapil Sibal has also appealed to the Supreme Court to intervene in this matter. After his statement, social media users are seen abusing him. In fact, it is because Ateeq Ahmed, who got a BSP MLA killed in public in 2005 and then got the important witness Umesh Pal murdered while in jail to avoid punishment, is being tried by 10 judges. Back down, who gets full political protection? Even the same Atiq's son Asad is seen in CCTV footage firing bullets at Umesh Pal. Those who want peace in the country will probably not feel pain due to his encounter. It is also worth noting that Atiq Ahmed also reached Parliament on an SP ticket, and Kapil Sibal also reached the Rajya Sabha with the help of SP after leaving Congress.

Now, on the encounter of Asad Ahmed, lawyer Kapil Sibal has said that how can a 19-year-old boy become a threat to the country? Sibal further said that if he was really a threat, he could have been shot in the leg and caught and further action could have been taken. But what was the need to kill him? Sibal said that the encounter shows that there is a problem in the entire legal framework. Not just the encounter, the entire process needs to be revisited. The apex court should take suo motu cognisance of the matter. If that doesn't happen, it will all go on like this.

Sibal said he hoped the Supreme Court would send a big message in view of these encounters. Who should be arrested in the country and for how many days should he remain in jail? The entire process of law regarding this should be strictly decided by the Supreme Court. However, since this statement of Kapil Sibal, people are seen reprimanding him on social media. A user named Vikram Gaur wrote, 'Kapil Sibal ji, Ajmal Kasab was also 20-21 years old in 2008. Didn't you think he was a threat?"

Whereas, another user, Shivam Tyagi, wrote, "Kapil Sibal saab is asking if a 19-year-old boy, Asad Ahmed, can be a threat to the security of the country? Kapil Sibal seems to have been sleeping for the last 55 days, so he did not know that this same 19-year-old boy had killed a witness and two policemen by firing bullets in broad daylight. I don't know what and how you would be doing this advocacy. On the other hand, another user wrote, 'This same Kapil Sibal had opened the Supreme Court at midnight to stop the hanging of terrorist Yakub Memon; expecting patriotism from him is like selling spectacles in the city of the blind.'
