Bengaluru: The Karnataka Industries Department has authorised 88 industrial projects worth Rs 2,367.99 crore, which are likely to create jobs for around 10,904 people in the state, according to Murugesh R Nirani, Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries.
On Tuesday evening, the 129th State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC) meeting, chaired by Nirani, approved the projects.
The committee evaluated and approved seven major large and medium-sized industrial projects totaling more than Rs 50 crore in investment. These projects, worth a total of Rs 799.1 crore, are estimated to employ 3,237 people throughout the state.
78 new projects worth more than Rs 15 crore but less than Rs 50 crore were also approved during the 129th SLSWCC meeting. These initiatives, costing Rs 1431.74 crore, will employ 7,667 people across the state.
Three further projects worth a total of Rs 137.15 crore were also authorised. A total of 88 projects worth Rs 2,367.99 crore were approved, having the potential to employ 10,904 people.
