Bangalore: The statement of state CM Basavaraj Bommai has come to light in the case of the brutal murder of Bajrang Dal activist Harsha in Shivamogga district of Karnataka. Speaking to the media, CM Bommai termed the incident as brutal and described the murder as a conspiracy and a planned manner. He has called it a big conspiracy and said to get to its core.

CM Bommai said, "Harsha, who was also known as Harsha Hindu. He was an activist. He was at the forefront of all kinds of religious events. He had recently raised several important matters of Hindus, leaving many very irritated. Many locals were against him. The murder was terrible. It's more than murder. It's hardcore enmity, which is shown on a little boy. The biggest reason behind his killing was that he was a Hindu activist and raised his voice in a very vocal manner. It may be recalled that 26-year-old Bajrang Dal activist Harsha was stabbed to death on Sunday (February 20, 2022) in the Shivamogga district of Karnataka. Police investigations revealed that Harsha had recently posted on his Facebook profile against the hijab and in support of the saffron shawl. This is said to be the reason behind his murder.''

In this murder case, the police have so far arrested 6 radical Muslims. They have been identified as Riyaz, Nadeem, Mujahid, Kasif, Asif, and Afan (Rihan). Shivamogga police said the accused came in the car and committed the crime. Police said the men chased Harsha, then hit him. Some witnesses have also been found. According to the police, the victim was booked in 2016-17 for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. Riyaz, Mujahid, Kasif, Asif were involved in killing Harsha, while Nadeem and Afaan were involved in the conspiracy. Police said Kasif is the main accused in the entire case.
