New Delhi: After Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana, now the Yeddyurappa government of Karnataka is also considering a law against Love Jihad. CM BS of Karnataka Yeddyurappa said on Thursday that the government has been in consultation with experts to bring a law prohibiting conversion to marriage.

CM Yeddyurappa while addressing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state executive meeting in Mangaluru has said that, 'Recently in Karnataka, many cases of religious conversion in the name of love jihad have come to light. I have spoken to the authorities in this regard. In relation to other states, I do not know what they are doing or what they are not doing. But in Karnataka we are going to end Love Jihad '. Yeddyurappa said, 'the luring of young girls with the use of money or love is something we are taking seriously. We will take stern measures towards ending this'.

BJP National General Secretary and State Tourism Minister C.T. Ravi have appealed to enact a strong law against Love Jihad. He said, 'A strict law will be enacted against the conversion of religion for marriage in the state. The government will no longer be silent on the jihadis who play with the honour of our sisters. He has said that 'strict action will be taken against those involved in the conversion.
