Bangalore: Congress leader DK Shivakumar from Karnataka, arrested in money laundering case, has been sent to judicial custody till October 1 on Tuesday. He has been ordered by a Delhi court to send him to judicial custody. In this way, they will now remain in judicial custody for the whole of September.

Let us tell you for information that Special Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been instructed by Special Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar to take DK Shivakumar to the hospital first and then to see if the doctors suggest him to be admitted there. 

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has claimed in the court that its investigation is yet to be completed and permission has also been sought from the judge to interrogate Sivakumar during judicial custody. Additional Solicitor General (ASG) KM Natraj, appearing on behalf of the Enforcement Directorate, has told the court that effective inquiry could not take place due to Shiv Kumar's health reasons. But it has been argued by senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing on behalf of Shivkumar, that the position of the Congress MLA is very serious and he was too close to having a heart attack, so he should get bail.
