Bangalore: A record 626 people have died of corona virus infection in Karnataka on Sunday. Earlier on May 10, the highest number of deaths was 596. The state has registered 25,979 new cases of infection on Sunday. More than 25,000 people have died so far due to corona infection in Karnataka, killing more than 11,000 people in Bengaluru alone.

According to the health department, 35,573 people recovered from the infection on Sunday in the province. So far 24,24,904 people have been confirmed to be infected with the corona virus. Which is the highest in the country after Maharashtra. A total of 19.26 lakh people have been recovered. The number of active cases in the state is 4,72,986. Maharashtra has a total number of infected cases of more than 55 lakh, with 51.40 lakh cured and 88,620 people lost their lives.

Bengaluru recorded 7,494 new cases and discharged 12,407 patients on Sunday. There were 362 patients killed in the city. According to the health department, 25,282 have lost their lives in Karnataka so far. According to Union Health Ministry data, 1,20,88,649 vaccine supplements have been administered in Karnataka so far. It has administered the first dose to 94,68,279 million people and both doses to more than 26.20 million people.
