BENGALURU: In an early morning operation on Tuesday, the Karnataka Police apprehended one of the most wanted Mumbai gangsters, Abdul Azeez Khan a.k.a Bachcha Khan.

According to police, the accused was wanted in 37 serious crimes, including murder, attempted murder, extortion, robbery, and drug trafficking. A special operation was carried out after a team led by Bengaluru Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) Vamsi Krishna, Additional SP Lakshmi Ganesh, and Anekal Deputy SP M. Mallesh received information about the accused person staying in a private restaurant.

The accused was holding a loaded gun at the time of his arrest, but the team was able to overpower him. The accused was found to have four live bullets, one pistol, 15 SIM cards, and six mobile phones.

The accused was also wanted in connection with an iron rod assault on businessman Sikandar Raju Luladia at his Mumbai office. After the Mumbai Police intensified their search for him in the city and other parts of Maharashtra, the accused fled to Karnataka.
