Karnataka is all set to welcome its fourth Vande Bharat Express, establishing a new rail link between Bangalore and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.

Bangalore Central MP PC Mohan stated that currently, only the Uday Express runs between Bangalore and Coimbatore in the morning, taking about 7 hours for the journey. However, by the end of December, the Vande Bharat Express will also start operating on this route. However, by the end of December, the Vande Bharat Express will commence its services, significantly reducing travel time.

This marks the second Vande Bharat Express connecting Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, with an existing route traversing Chennai, Bengaluru, and Mysuru.
Presently, Bangalore boasts Vande Bharat trains reaching Dharwad, Belagavi, Hubballi, Chennai, Mysuru, and Hyderabad. Notably, the Bengaluru–Dharwad Vande Bharat Express recently expanded its service to Belagavi in northern Karnataka.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a second Vande Bharat Express this week, operating between Varanasi and New Delhi, further enhancing the country's rail connectivity.
The Vande Bharat Express is a self-propelled semi-high-speed train, renowned for its advanced design, interiors, and speed.
In a forward-looking initiative, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw disclosed plans to introduce 3,000 new trains over the next four-five years, aiming to augment the railways' passenger capacity from the existing 800 crore to 1,000 crore.
