In the recent episode, Deepa gets suspicious about Kartik's car being in the temple. To her horror, Deepa finds Kartik performing a special puja with Monitha, while Soundarya is presiding over the ritual. Deepa is told that the ritual is about Monitha's newborn baby. Deepa gets devastated by this.

To the oblivious, Monitha successfully drags Soundarya and Kartik to perform rituals to save their newborn child. Before the delivery, Monitha revealed that she got pregnant naturally with Kartik's child. At Soundarya's insistence, Kartik signs the delivery documents as Monitha's husband to save the newborn baby.
