Srinagar: The Kashmir IG rejected former Congress President Rahul Gandhi's claim that the firing report in the valley had come to him. IG SP Waters of Kashmir Range released the video and clarified the entire matter. He made it clear that there has been no incident of firing in the valley in the last six days.

"With some international media reports regarding the incidents of firing in the valley, we want to make it clear that no such incident has taken place," SP Pani said. These reports are incorrect. The Valley has been peaceful for the past one week. "The Chief Secretary and the Jammu and Kashmir DGP have urged people not to believe the fabricated reports," the Jammu and Kashmir Police said in a press release. ''

He further said, "There has been no incident of firing in Kashmir for the last six days. In Kashmir, not a single bullet has been fired in the past one week. The situation is peaceful, people are cooperating. Curfew is being relaxed to normalise the situation. In Srinagar and other areas, people are leaving their homes for Eid shopping. Rahul Gandhi had recently said that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir was very bad, adding that violence was taking place in the Valley.
