New Delhi: Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal had mocked the gruesome massacre of Kashmiri Hindus in the Delhi Assembly, calling Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Kashmir Files' a BJP-backed and 'false film'. Not only this, on the issue of making the film tax-free in Delhi in the Assembly, Kejriwal had instructed to put it on YouTube, after which he and his party leaders were seen shouting loudly in the full House.

Arvind Kejriwal had said in a statement on Sunday (March 27, 2022), "I have given jobs to 233 Kashmiri Pandits, what the BJP has done. The issue of Kashmiri Pandits is very sensitive, we are ready to work together with the Central Government, on this, the politics should be stopped. Meanwhile, the 'Kashmiri Migrant Teachers Association' has issued a press release on social media exposing Kejriwal's lies. It clearly states that Arvind Kejriwal was lying blankly. The matter can also be verified from reports published in several newspapers. The Kashmiri Pandit Teachers' Association targeted Kejriwal, saying he was misleading the people.

According to the press release of the Kashmiri Pandit Teachers' Association, the Kejriwal government had tried its best to obstruct their regularization. The Delhi High Court's order for regularisation of Kashmiri teachers was challenged by the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi on a double bench. The Delhi government had filed a review petition on a double bench. When the double bench also turned down the Kejriwal government's plea, the Kejriwal government had approached the Supreme Court to stop the regularization of Kashmiri teachers. And when the Supreme Court also rejected the petition, slamming the Kejriwal government, after which when the Delhi government had no choice, the services of Kashmiri Pandit teachers were finally regularised on January 23, 2019. He said the Delhi government never wanted to regularise the services of Kashmiri Pandit teachers. Dilip Bhan said that the reality is that the Kejriwal government opposed the regularization of services of Kashmiri teachers till the last option.

Now, after Kejriwal's lie has been exposed, The Kashmir Files Director Vivek Agnihotri has expressed his reaction. He tweeted, "Oh my God. It is a great shame that Kashmiri Hindu teachers had to come out in this way to expose the white lies of an elected representative. What is the punishment in law for lying on the Supreme Court's decision?'
